Vegansgiving & Cousin Wendy

During a holiday filled with dead animals, collard greens with fat back, crap made with lard and tons of butter, milk and sleep comas, it's SO great that my cousin (in my mind) Wendy Williams is biggin' up a Vegan Thanksgiving. Yes!!

I'm a Wendy fan! What's not to love? She's loud, she's gaudy, she's great and more importantly, she has earned her accolades by plain ol hard work and focus. Coincidently, I couldn't help but focus on her new svelte look during her season opener. She credits her new bod to eating a vegan and non-processed diet. She does not love exercise, but she does it anyway with her trainer. She says that she likes Pilates because it evolves a lot of lying down. Ha! Way to inspire us Wendy!  

I found her Thanksgiving segment extremely interesting and I hope you will too. I'm definitely going to try out the mac & cheeze recipe. Look for more vegan holiday recipes on her website! 

I LOVE the holidays! Eat well and be loud like me and cousin Wendy!

Veganism is a way of living that excludes all forms of animal exploitation and cruelty, whether for food, clothing or any other purpose. Transitioning into a vegan lifestyle is not as easy as you think it is. I always suggest starting slow. Start by lessening your consumption of animal products while simultaneously increasing the number of plant-based foods in your diet. Veganism is much more than a diet, it is a lifestyle. One of the most important thing is keeping a positive attitude. Anyone should enjoy this change, not beat themselves up for every wrong step. It’s a learning curve, and you have to find what works best for you.
