It's not everyday that you hear the words "vegan" and "barbecue" in the same sentence. In fact, I forgot where I was for a moment when I saw "ranch" flavored chips and passed them by. I totally forgot that everything available to me was 100% Vegan! I quickly circled back to the table once I remembered and scooped those chips by Beanfield's into my mouth. . .with the quickness. I also had the BEST burger that I've ever tasted since going vegan! Listen, please...take my word for it. Buy the Field Roast hand-formed burgers immediately and throw them on the grill, you won't be disappointed.
So, yes the food was amazing, but the best part of the whole BBQ was meeting like-minded individuals that understand how beneficial it is for our bodies and the world to go vegan! I had the pleasure of meeting a vegan woman that looks like me! She is plus sized and fabulous, only proving that this lifestyle comes in all shapes, sizes and colors! I can't wait to volunteer with FFAC in the near future.
