Farewell to the Berries: New Snacks are HERE!

I realized it at Thursday’s farmer’s market.

Winter is coming.

I know you don’t want to accept it.

But face it. . ,

They are bringing in a sea of persimmons and apples.

Citrus fruit is on the way to heal our sniffles.

The berries are now frozen and the peaches have said adios.

Winter is coming!!


We don't have to be depressed because it's getting colder. Here are a few delights to help heal the winter blues:

1. Apples, peanut butter and a drizzling of Justin’s chocolate hazelnut butter.
OMG - have you had Justin's products? Their dark chocolate peanut butter cups are so delicious, posh and VEGAN! Definitely dress up your apples this winter. 

2. Persimmons, vanilla almond milk and cinnamon steamed dream.  
*add vegan caramel sauce for laughs and giggles* 
Drop the caffeine and pick up a natural boost. Blend the persimmons and vanilla almond milk together in your high performance blender, then heat the mixture until it boils (stir consistently). Add cinnamon and sip until you feel the warmth! 

3. Oranges, beets, almond milk and date smoothie.
You make it just like it sounds! Oranges, beets (no skin), almond milk and dates (pitted) in a blender. It will be pink, pretty and delicious! 

Winter is coming but the produce is still good AND nutritionally beneficial. 

Apples regulate blood sugar.
Peanut Butter provides a great source of vegan protein.
Persimmons (like most orange fruits and veggies) are great for your vision.
Cinnamon boosts brain function.
Oranges provide a superb amount of vitamin C.
Beets are high in folic acid.
Dates aid in digestion.
