Lately, my body is giving off all sorts of fabulousness. My endurance has increased (due to my September goal of more jogging). I'm not sleeping as much; instead I'm up at 4am creating and praying (and then I go back to sleep before finally rising at 6:45). My body is less reactive and more agile. I feel a shift.
Additionally, it's getting colder in the bay area in the mornings (and at night) which means that fall and winter are coming. Whenever the seasons begin to change, I take on new tasks (know thyself). If I'm being REALLY honest, this summer felt a bit stagnant for me, so I'm ready to crush more goals this fall. What comes with that you may ask?
Crushing more fruit and veggies!
My plan is do a juice and smoothie feast one weekend per month until. . .until forever because well . . .
1. What good is a Vitamix if I'm only using it for the occasional smoothie, nice cream and sauce concoction?
2. I want to get into the habit of giving my digestive system a rest each month. Our bodies need to flush out, especially during season changes.
3. I have a wicked sweet-tooth and fasts/feasts help to calm that for me. It also helps with cravings and binging which I'm prone to.
4. My vegan and plant-based life is evolving. It's getting cleaner and brighter and I'm ready to make the shift. One day, I will be a mostly raw vegan, but until then I will take baby steps.
